How to be the best version of you

Our world has gotten smaller, but also in some ways bigger. As our world has grown increasingly connected, we find ourselves not only competing to be the best in your town, city, or country, but the best among 7 billion people. That's a lot of competition. If you really want to be in the top 1% though, how do you make that happen?

Start with what you love

If you don't absolutely love what you do, you're not going to perform as well as the people who do. If you want to be in the top 1%, pick something you can do every day, every year, and not get tired of it.

 Explore your potential

Even if you have the same goal as lots of other people, everyone has a different method for getting there. Maybe you want to make cute bento lunches, but you want yours to be vegan, or kid friendly, or to be able to make an apple into a rocket ship instead of a rose. Regardless of what it is you're trying to be the best at, you need to learn your style, and to trust in that style. Be yourself.

Don't be afraid to start over

Did you start a blog hoping to become a top blogger, only to realize the topic you chose wasn't your style? Closing that blog and starting a new one may come at a price if you have a lot of followers, but in the long run, it might be worth it. Or perhaps your first job isn’t all you hoped for and you feel the need to move on. Find the courage to do what makes you happy.

Becoming the best in your field takes time, dedication, and the ability to change. If you have what it takes to do these things, there's nothing that can stop you from being the best in your field.
