At home workout trends

The last couple of years has changed how we do a lot of things, including working out. When the health crisis of 2020 hit, many people were forced to ditch their gym memberships. This led to a huge at home workout movement and huge profits for home gym equipment.

Although we are through the worst of the crisis now (knock on wood), many people are still choosing to keep doing their workouts at home. Exercising at home has many benefits, like saving you time, money, and reducing your contact with other people. Below are a few of the most popular at home workout trends for 2022:

The Mirror

Although a bit on the pricey side, the Mirror is a workout machine like none other. It’s literally a full-length mirror but with fitness classes built into it. That’s right, you can watch yourself workout while watching a trainer lead you through a workout. Basically, it’s a mirror, television, and workout class all in one. You have the choice between live or pre-recorded classes unlimited with a membership. If the Mirror is too pricey for you, there are similar fitness mirrors that offer some of the same benefits.

Peloton

The Peloton brand stationary bikes rose to popularity for its expensive price tag and innovative design. With Peloton, you get a stationary bike equipped with unlimited cycling classes set up on the bike itself. You even have the option to participate in live classes and compete with other Peloton users. But if you don’t have the funds for a Peloton, there are other stationary bikes like the X bike from FreeBeatFit that are similar.

Beach Body On Demand

Beach Body is a popular fitness brand that has a large roster of fitness coaches and exercise programs. They now have an affordable streaming app that offers unlimited access to over a hundred different fitness programs. The programs range from beginner to advanced and can be done at home. You’ll have a choice between cardio, weight training, dance, Pilates, and more.

Hydrow

Rowing is a great full body workout that focuses on building arm, back, and core strength. It’s a low impact cardio exercise that can be done on a lake or on a stationary rowing machine. The Hydrow stationary rowing machine is a smartly designed home workout machine that comes equipped with over 3,000 different workouts. Though on the pricey side (it costs nearly $2000), it’s likely a lot cheaper and easier than buying an actual rowboat.

Youtube

Finally, Youtube makes our list of at home workout trends because it is completely free and underutilized. There are thousands of trainers and fitness professionals who offer free exercise classes on their Youtube channels. There is every kind of workout class you could imagine and all you need is an internet connection and a smart device. Instead of paying expensive membership fees, you can subscribe to your favorite Youtube trainer and workout for free. Plus, you’d be helping to support your favorite Youtube trainer just by watching their videos.
