The five sweetest cat breeds on the planet!
Cat temperament is based on how much interaction kittens have had with humans, but even a feral cat rescue can become sweet and cuddly with their human. You may be interested in learning what the five most sweetest cat breeds are.
1. Maine Coon Cats
This is the breed that will be at the top of everyone’s list. This cat is big and has ear tips and tufted paws that look a bit like the North American wild cats. But surprisingly, they are as cuddly as they look. They get along wonderfully with dogs, young children, strangers, and especially their own families.
2. Abyssinian Cats
The Abyssinian is one of the oldest domesticated cat breeds, originating in ancient Egypt. That has given them a long time to recognize humans as their friends. These types of cats love to hang around with you all day long. They are also quite smart and may actually understand what you’re saying!
3. Sphynx Cats
This hairless cat may want plenty of cuddles because they want to keep warm, but they can also be smart too. They can have lots of energy and may try to get your attention on purpose. They love to play, and want you to join in too! If you want a lap cat, or a cat that snuggles with you at bedtime, this may be the purrfect pet for you.
4. Birman Cats
The Birman cat has bright blue eyes and long soft fur with Siamese cat markings. This cat breed is known for their sweet and gentle temperament. They are also extremely sociable, so if you have a family gathering or a party, they’ll be right at the center of attention. They also enjoy being with other animals, and young children. Interestingly, these cats are still very quiet. They have the cutest chirping meow that matches their looks and purrsonality.
5. Your Common House Cat
Don’t forget your common mixed house cat breeds. If kittens are socialized when they’re young, they’ll already love humans and seek their attention. It’s hard to make generalizations with cats, because even a Maine Coon, Abyssinian, Sphynx, or Birman cat can bite or scratch. Do give the common house cats a chance too. There may be a sweet one just waiting to adopt you!
