Have you tried virtual vet visits?

Virtual vet visits are relatively new and have been gaining momentum in the veterinary space since the pandemic started and access to vet care has been challenging. There are many different apps that offer virtual vet consults, some of them can integrate with your current vet so it is best to ask first if they partner with an app or have a preference. If not, then shop around for an interface that you like to use!

Now, virtual visits aren’t a replacement for normal vet visits, but they can be super helpful when you have quick questions or want to know if the signs your dog is displaying requires a trip to the ER or can wait for an appointment.

These can provide great consult resources when vet clinics have been extremely busy during the pandemic, due to complications of COVID and the fact that over 11 million new pets were brought into homes in 2020 alone! That has caused a huge increase in the need for veterinary services in such a short amount of time that clinics are struggling to keep up!

So, I encourage you to look into virtual visit apps and discuss with your vet to see if they have a partnership or preference on which platform is easy to work with. That way, you have a reliable resource for quick questions right on your phone!
