Emzotic talks love, loss, and life in the spotlight on the Dr. Hunter Finn Show

New year, new gig! Dr. Hunter Finn enters the world of podcasting with his new show, The Dr. Hunter Finn Show. Dr. Hunter, 27, is a Texas veterinarian, but spends his off hours creating content for his 1.5 million social media followers. In social media circles, Dr. Hunter is best known for combining pet-care tips and advice with trendy dance moves. “I may not be the best dancer,” says Dr. Hunter, “but I like being able to educate pet owners in new and interesting ways.”

Dr. Hunter launched his new show today on Pet Candy Radio, which distributes his show to iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and most other podcasting platforms. The show features interviews with the world’s most interesting pet lovers and includes never before-heard stories that explore their lives.

In the first episode, Dr. Hunter interviews Emma Lock, better known as “Emzotic,” a YouTube influencer and author of Animal Kind, a book that focuses on the healing powers of pets and the way they enrich our lives. On the show, Lock talks about her childhood, working at a pet store at the tender age of 10,  and her lifelong love of animals. She also tells stories about her favorite pets, including Zombie, an almost completely blind rescue grey banded kingsnake, Shrek, her giant African land snail, and Rice and Beans, her Madagascar hissing cockroaches.

“It’s official – we launched The Dr. Hunter Finn Show today,” wrote Dr. Hunter before joking that “since I rarely speak often on my social media videos, a lot of people have been wondering what my voice sounds like. If they listen, now they will know beyond a doubt.”

On a more serious note, Dr. Hunter says he wants to bring “really interesting and inspiring people who are trying to make this world a better place” to his listeners. Dr. Hunter went on to praise Lock: “Emzotic and I are great friends and having her on as my first guest was both a privilege and an honor. I hope you enjoy listening to her story as much as I did,” he wrote.

The Dr. Hunter Finn podcast is available on demand from the mypetcandy.com website, iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, and other popular podcast platforms. Listen now on iTunes: Dr. Hunter Finn Show
