5 Things to do with your dog in Nashville

Nashville is more than just the city of country music, it’s the land of opportunity for pets (whether they like music or not!). Whether you’re planning a vacation, a permanent move, or just considering your options, Nashville is the perfect place to include your pet in your plans!

Where to stay with your pup

Although there are dozens of pet-friendly hotels in and around Nashville, TN, there’s no better place to park it with your pup than the Bobby Hotel! This one-of-a-kind doggy resting spot is a4-bone hotel that was designed around the needs of your canine companion.

There are dog beds in every room, pet toys for purchase at the minibar, and even chef-created gourmet meals for your pup for under $8. Your dogs will feel just as pampered as you do during your stay!

Go out to eat

If the menu at your hotel doesn’t seem to suit your dogs’ preferences, take a stroll through the downtown streets. Nashville is home to numerous restaurants that allow pups indoors and outdoors. Some of these restaurants even offer mini versions of meals for your dog to enjoy alongside you when you’re eating outside! Treat yourself and your pup to some delicious barbecue or a seafood snack!

Let your pup make some new friends

You may not be on this getaway to socialize, but your pup likely is! Give them the opportunity to make some new friends at one of the many dog parks located throughout Nashville. Our personal recommendation is the Riverfront Park Dog Park.

This doggy play area features 13,000 feet of artificial grass for your pooch to run along, all of which is fenced in so they can’t go where their nose may want to take them! There are water fountains for your dog as well in case they get too hot or need a quick break from playing tag with their new friends! The best part? There’s actually free wi-fi at the park so while your pooch is playing, you can catch up on work or reach out to your friends on social media, whatever you want!

Check out White Mercantile

White Mercantile is a beautiful gift shop located on 12 south in downtown Nashville and is known for its gorgeous trinkets at affordable prices! What’s extremely unique about this little shop is your dog is welcome to check out the shop inventory along side you. The shop employees will even give your dog a treat upon walking in and another one if you purchase them their own unique leash/collar from the store! They deserve a little souvenir as well!

Walk along the beautiful hiking trails

Nashville is home to gorgeous mountains and beautiful hiking trails. It wouldn’t be a successful trip if you didn’t take your doggo for a stroll through the unique greenery! There are multiple trails with varying skill levels pending your preference (and your dog’s preference)!
