Our favorite pet apps

You wouldn't believe it years ago, but now, at the tips of our fingers, we have access to thousands of professionals and their services! Here’s my three favorite apps that every pet owner should have on their phones.

Rover: Pet sitting! You can also find in-home boarding and house sitting services! You can either BE a sitter, providing the services, or hire a sitter. I have personally been a sitter utilizing the Rover app for years and have connected with some of my favorite and long-term pet families. It's perfect for people who just need their dose of pet snuggles, starting an entrepreneur endeavor or curing boredom in retirement! You can select sitters that suit your pets needs and know they have had background checks and transactions are simple.

Finding Rover: This is different I promise! Location services for missing pets is the core service. Utilizing facial recognition software! Outstanding- comparing area shelter pets with your lost pet. I've not had to use this, but I always keep a toolbox of resources for myself and my clients when it comes to beloved pets who may slip away.

Petzey: Consult live with a veterinary professional, 24/7 for only $20 per consult- and available in all 50 states! Triage your pet in a new way during these epically busy times! Veterinary hospitals are booked more now than ever before. However it creates a bottleneck of sorts. Sometimes, as pet parents, you "don't know what you don't know". So by connecting with a trusted professional, your mind and your anxieties can be put to rest, knowing whether something is urgent, if there is something you can do at home, or how long is appropriate to wait for a scheduled appointment and more.
