What my cat thinks about Oven-Baked Tradition Fresh Fish Crunchies for Cats

If your cat is getting tired of chicken crunchies, there are other food options out there, but they may be harder to find. You may also be seeking chicken-free foods for cats with food intolerances, but at an affordable price. The Oven-Baked Tradition brand of cat crunchies has a few different options, but one that your cat will enjoy eating is the Fresh Fish crunchies.

Who Is Tradition?

Tradition is part of the Bio-Biscuit company in Quebec, Canada that’s been around since 2006, and provides pet food to the American and Canadian markets. The packaging even has a little clear window so you can see what you’re buying. Their motto is “Nothing to Hide”. What’s even better is these crunchies are small, so if your cat is aging or missing a few teeth, the smaller bites will be much easier for them to eat. This food is created from fresh fish, and it is oven-baked, so you can be assured of its quality. This brand of cat food can’t be found at the big box grocery stores, but you can find it at your local pet food supply store, or online.

What Are the Ingredients of Tradition Fresh Fish Crunchies?

If you’ve ever bought fish crunchies in the past and the first ingredient has been chicken, don’t worry, as with the Tradition brand, they contain fresh fish as the first ingredient. Salmon meal is another ingredient, so you can be assured that your cat is getting their favorite food. There are also vegetables in this food, such as pea protein, pea fiber, sweet potatoes, and cranberries. And like all healthy cat foods, there are the usual vitamins, minerals, and supplements, so if all your cat eats is this food, they will still be happy and healthy.

Did My Cat Enjoy This Food?

Yes, I was worried, as my cat doesn’t enjoy wet canned fish foods. But she did love to eat this type of crunchies. I am also pleased, as the 1.13 kg/2.5 lb bag cost $25.95 CAD/$20USD, when many foods of this size cost upwards of $30+ and the quality just isn’t there. I’ve also noticed that my cat’s digestive issues are settling down, and as a 15+ senior cat, she is eating more food. I will definitely be buying the Oven-Baked Tradition Fresh Fish crunchies for her again!
