New Year’s resolutions for pet lovers

According to the Cambridge dictionary, a New Year’s Resolution is “a promise that you make to yourself to start doing something good or stop doing something bad on the first day of the year.”

After the last year and a half we’ve all been through, 2022 is sure to be full of interesting resolutions!

Feeling stumped on what yours will be? Why not include your pet! Our fur babies can provide lots of inspiration on how to live happier, healthier, and more joy-filled lives.

Some ideas:

Drink Water

The average adult is supposed to drink between 6 – 8 glasses of water, however lots of us fall short. A lack of water can lead to headaches, weakened immunity, and fatigue.

Tackle this New Year’s Resolution head on by looking to your cat or dog for motivation! If they can finish a whole bowl of water every day, you can too!

Eat Healthier

This goal is in line with the one above. As pet parents, we care about our pet’s diet and nutrition yet we ourselves often rely on consuming fast food and junk to get by. In 2022, aim to eat healthier. More greens, less deep-fried. Be like your pet – eat well.

Train Your Brain

Puppies and dogs love learning new tricks. Maybe you even do obedience training or agility with them. Why stop there? Just like how your pet picks up fresh skills, set a goal in 2022 to learn something new.

Make 2022 a great year by crushing your New Year’s Resolutions alongside your pet!
