Getting to know their pet, of course!

In fact, it turns out that social media influencers love their dogs just as much as we do. Take Steph Pappas, for example. At 22 years old, she has built a YouTube empire. Her channel has 1.39M subscribers while her Instagram page @stephpappas sits at an impressive 242K. Even more remarkable when you learn that she started filming content for YouTube at the mere age of eight.

And though most fans know Steph for her delicious “mukbang” foodie videos, clothing hauls, and makeup talent, today on My Pet Candy, we get to see a side of Steph Pappas that not many people know about…her life as a dog mom!

Let’s meet her adorable French Bulldog, Hershey.

Who is Hershey?

Are you in need of some puppy cuteness?

There is no better breed than the French Bulldog. Those big bat ears, squishy faces, and wiggly behinds are a huge part of why so-called “Frenchies” hold the #2 spot on the American Kennel Club’s 2021 Most Popular Dog Breed Full Ranking List.

For Steph Pappas, deciding to get a French Bulldog was a serendipitous event.

“I had no specific plan to get a French Bulldog,” she says. “I randomly met her and fell in love, and I just had to bring her home. But growing up with an English Bulldog, I’ve always loved the Bulldog breed.”

Yet Hershey wasn’t always Hershey. Originally, Steph was considering the names Sugar, Cocoa, Honey, Caramel, Mocha (all food related, naturally). After a few days, the name Hershey stuck. It’s fitting. Hershey’s coat is a beautiful black with tan markings – just like a chocolate bar!

Steph’s absolute favorite thing about Hershey?

Her personality.

“She is the sweetest puppy I’ve ever met in my life,” Steph Pappas gushes. “The way she looks up at you with her big brown eyes is so cute. Also, everyone always says that me and her look alike. I kind of see it also.”

Being a social media star, Steph has the opportunity to review a lot of products.

For herself, this mostly revolves around food. Pappas is known worldwide for her “mukbang” videos. If you are unfamiliar with the term, mukbang refers to a viral Korean food trend where people videorecord themselves eating food and share their thoughts on the experience.

However, Steph also loves shopping for her dog, too.

When asked what toys Hershey treasures most, Pappas shares, “She absolutely loves soft ones! So anytime I’m out shopping I always see the cutest little stuffed animal toys and buy them for her. She has so many toys and she’s never destroyed any of them. She always loves giant chewing bones. But my favorite to buy her are little food plushies. It’s so cute for pictures too!”

Many of Steph’s videos contain product highlights showing off the adorable things she has bought for Hershey. For example, her YouTube video titled Day in My Life with my Puppy!! features a puppy sweater from HomeGoods, as well as a bed, mat, and pet carrier from PetSmart.
