Mya Rose Craig's brave new world

Dr. Mya Rose Craig, also known as Bird girl, is a British Bangladeshi Word Birder, conservationist, environmentalist, writer, speaker, race activist, and diversity expert – she does it all! She is only 18 years old and is helping to make major strides in the world of conserving our planet. Her passion is to help birds and wildlife by providing them with the environmental factors they need to thrive such as trees. 

Mya’s passions lie with helping the entire environment – she doesn’t focus on just helping animals or focus just on helping the environment. She does things that help both. She works to stop things such as:

•Biodiversity loss

•Wildlife extinction

•Plastic pollution

•Palm oil

•Deforestation

•Habitat loss

These are all things that Mya takes a major interest and passion in and her goal in life is to make a difference for the planet we live on. She wants to help our planet last forever, and give the animals that inhabit this planet can live good, long, and healthy lives. She believes that as humans, we have to do everything we can to save our environment from damage and her purpose is to spread awareness and encourage people to join her in her race to help the planet.

 “I did a youth strike on an iceberg as it floated out into the sea. It was an incredible and terrifying experience. The Artic was melting and you could just see it melting right in front of you. I found that terrifying. All the rage started spilling out of me as I saw climate change in action.”

If you aren’t aware of what’s going on in the world, we recommend you spend a couple of hours doing research. Climate control is a real thing that is ruining our planet every second of every day. It’s people like Mya who make a difference in the way we live our daily lives, and we need more people like her to bring awareness to those of us who just may not have time to do research or learn about stuff like this.
