Veterinary student wins Miss Idaho pageant

Miss Idaho USA 2020 is Kim Layne. She competed on Sunday at the Boise SPEC Center in interview, swimsuit and evening gown with each category evenly scored. Seventeen contestants competed in the Miss division. Kim will represent Idaho at Miss USAm which is televised on FOX and distributed in more than 70 countries.


Kim is 25 years old and was born and raised in the state of Idaho. After serving as Miss Idaho Teen USA 2012, she studied at Cornell University and graduated with honors in research. Currently, Kim is at Washington State University pursuing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and a Master of Public Health. She’s also a trained barre instructor and an aspiring business owner.
