Scientists create a pill that can deliver insulin

Researchers have developed a drug delivery device that could be used for insulin. This discovery could be the end of daily injections for those living with insulin-dependent diabetes.

The device is size of a blueberry and contains a microscopic needle made of compressed insulin. The needle delivers the insulin when it reaches the stomach lining. Tests in animals have shown promise and researchers may be able to use a similar devise for other medications.

Take a moment to imagine a world without daily insulin injections for humans and their pets.
